Krista Grammerstorf is a dancer, educator and choreographer in the Philadelphia region. She started dancing at the age of 2 and is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hoofing/JazzTap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, African Dance, and Hip-Hop. Krista is currently studying Dance Choreography and Business Administration at Muhlenberg College. There she is a member of the Muhlenberg Dance Association, the Muhlenberg Jazztap Ensemble, and was recommended to be a peer tutor in Dance for the Academic Resource Center. Krista has had the opportunity to be casted in five MainStage Dance Productions since studying at Muhlenberg College, working with Randall Anthony Smith, Jeffrey Peterson, guest artists Cynthia Gutierrez-Garner and Yoshito Sakuraba and several student choreographers.
Krista teaches a variety of dance techniques and choreography at Steps in Time Dance in Allentown, PA. For the studio, she works with the Inner Rhythms dance company to prepare groups as well as soloists for various dance competitions. Her choreography has been performed at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, Wilma Theater, and Arts Bank Theater with Footwerx Tap Company. She is the founder of Phoenixville School District’s first dance team for middle and high school students: The Phantomettes, and now serves as a guest choreographer. She has choreographed eight plays and musicals for the Phoenixville Area Middle School and Firebird Theater. Her choreography has been competed at the Youth American Grand Prix and various dance competitions where her students have won specialty awards as well as their category.
